Hit-Birds After Takeoff, Nepal Plane makes emergency landing

A plane carrying nine passengers Nepal that forced an emergency landing at the airport in Kathmandu, after hitting a bird. The incident occurred a week after the lapse of two deadly incidents that highlight the Nepal aviation safety standards.

Spoken Kathmandu airport official, Ranjan Bhattarai, as reported by AFP on Wednesday (02/03/2016), the incident that happened to the aircraft with a capacity of 19 passengers have happened shortly after the plane took off headed to Lukla region, or commonly known as the entrance to the Mount Everest.
Bhattarai said, the air wing of a bird hit the right side when airborne. "Goma Air plane made an emergency landing Lukla purpose ... an interval of 3-4 minutes after takeoff, due to hit the bird," said Bhattarai told AFP.
"No passengers were injured," he added.
Once the plane landed in Kathmandu, Bhattarai call, the team immediately inspect airframe technician to look for damage caused by the incident.
The incident occurred a week after the lapse of two incident plane crashed rocked Nepal. This incident further highlights the aviation security standards have been considered inadequate and marred by poor maintenance, pilot inexperienced and poor governance.
On Feb. 24, a Twin Otter turboprop aircraft crashed into mountainous region of Nepal and killed 23 people in it. Two days later, or on February 26, a small passenger plane crashed during an emergency landing in Kalikot, within 320 kilometers of the capital Kathmandu, killing two people including the pilot and copilot. Approximately nine other passengers were injured.
Katmandu flight activity at the airport which is located near the forest and hills tinged serious incident concerns the plane hit a bird of this kind. Year 2012, a plane crashed shortly after takeoff due to hit the bird. The incident killed 19 passengers on the plane. The investigation concluded, airline pilots panicked after hitting the birds and causing the plane crashed.
