Heels, Devils, Pack to all play Wednesday of ACC/Big Ten Challenge

Earlier this month, the ACC and Big Ten schools learned their opponents for the annual cross-conference challenge. On Monday, they learned the dates for the games.

North Carolina, Duke and NC State will all be playing Wednesday, Nov. 29 as the ACC-Big Ten challenge will span four days from the 27th to the 30th.

The defending National Champion Tar Heels will host Michigan. It will be the sixth ever meeting between UNC and Michigan and first since 1993. The Tar Heels hold a 3-2 edge in the series – all played at neutral sites.

NC State will welcome Penn State to Raleigh. It will be the 20th all-time meeting between the schools with the Wolfpack holding a 16-3 advantage.

The Blue Devils, who are 16-2 all time in the Challenge and have won have won four in a row, will travel to Indiana to take on the Hoosiers. Duke is 5-3 all-time against Indiana including 3-0 in the Challenge.

Because the 15-team ACC has one more school than the Big Ten does, one team is left out. This year, that school is Pittsburgh.

Game times and network assignments will be announced at a later date.
