Egypt to send 45 ambulances to help evacuate victims of crashed plane


The Egyptian government deployed 45 ambulances to the site of a plane crash in the Sinai Peninsula. The car was deployed shortly after rescuers found the Russian aircraft carrier Kogalymavia.

"Egypt's military aircraft have found wreckage in mountainous areas, and 45 ambulances were deployed to the scene to evacuate the dead and wounded," writes Reuters on Saturday (31/10), citing the Egyptian cabinet.

Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation said it crashed in the area Hassana, south Arish, Sinai. According to the Twitter account AirLive monitoring sites, the plane's captain had reported a technical malfunction.

Egypt's own search and rescue team has arrived at the location. However, they said it was difficult to approach the wreckage because of bad weather.

Authorities also said the bodies of passengers who have been found to be immediately flown to Cairo. Meanwhile, it was reported that 17 children out of 224 passengers in the plane. From the available data, mentioned the passengers mostly tourists from Russia.

The aircraft was lost when the radar was at an altitude of 31,000 feet.
