Support Absorb Refugee Policies, Candidate Mayor in Germany Pierced


A mayoral candidate in Cologne, Germany was badly injured after a man stabbed his neck using a hunting knife.

Despite suffering serious injuries, the hospital said Henriette Reker (58), were likely to survive after undergoing emergency surgery.

Henriette campaigning to run in municipal elections Koln, Saturday (17/10/2015), when he later approached the man.

Bild newspaper reported that 44-year-old man was unexpectedly thrust straight neck Henriette.

"The suspect had two knives. She stabbed Henriette then attacked others who tried to help her," said Dr. Juergen Beam, an eyewitness.

"The perpetrator stabbing said he had been rescuing people from a guy like him (Henriette)," added Juergen.

While other witnesses said, after Henriette stabbed the man did not try to escape. He was silent and waited for the police who then detained him.

An eyewitness said the man attacked Henriette as the future mayor was supportive policies to accommodate refugees.

However, police are still investigating the motive of the attack is related.
